Our Heritage
A journey of faith, family, and fortitude that began in 1978.
Pioneer Families
The Origin
From the Holy Lands to the Heart of India
In the year 1978, a visionary group of 22 families, originally hailing from the sacred and historical cities of Mathura, Agra, and Vrindavan, came together in Bhopal. They carried with them not just their belongings, but a rich tapestry of culture, dharma, and shared heritage.
Recognizing the need to preserve their traditions in a new city, they established the Kulshrestha Samaj. What started as informal gatherings in living rooms quickly blossomed into a registered community trust.
Over the past 47 years, those 22 families have grown into a vast network of over 380 families. Through every season of change, the core philosophy has remained the same: to stand by one another in times of need and celebrate together in times of joy.
